Indefinite Strike: Kogi Judiciary Workers Shuts Down Courts Over 6 Months Unpaid Salary.

Kogi State Judiciary workers has commenced an indefinite strike over six months unpaid salary.

In a strike notice bulletin signed by the secretary of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Kogi state chapter, Comrade Sule Subaru, the union resolved in an emergency meeting to shut down the courts indefinitely with effect from Tuesday, 11th December, 2018.

This is as a result of the inability of the staff to transport themselves to their offices.

The union executives commended members for their endurance and faith in the union despite untold hardship inflicted on them by the non payment of salary by the state government.

They frowned at the insensitivity of the state government towards the Judiciary by not releasing their monthly subvention.

The notice directed the staff to sit at home as from tomorrow, the 11th day of December, 2018.

Consequently all staff are enjoined to give maximum cooperation to this directive.
