Kogi Governor Approves Pension Harmonization and Health Coverage for Retirees

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved a landmark pension harmonization policy aimed at enhancing the welfare of pensioners in the state. This decision marks a historic moment, as it is the first significant pension adjustment since 2004—breaking a 20-year gap in pension reforms within the state.

Under the new policy, pensioners will see an increase in their benefits, aligning pensions across various public sectors in a bid to improve the standard of living for retired workers.
