Kogi State Govt. Lost N50Billion Naira in Cashuw Market Sales in 2018

Kogi State Govt. Lost N50Billion Naira in Cashuw Market Sales in 2018.

Kogi state Government estimate the state lost N50 Billion naira from the sales of cashew nuts in the year of 2018 due to lack of quality control and the corruption of the sellers.

Mr. Kehinde Oloruntoba  The State Commissioner of Agriculture, who disclosed this yesterday, said last year’s 2017 such  upshot had also affected the state tactic in the cashew nuts markets; making the state lose credibility.

Also said that last year 2017 the state made up to N70 billion in cashew nut marketing sales, but dropdown to N20 billion in 2018 due to the effect of corruption of the cashew nuts sellers.
