Kogi State Traditional Rulers Pay Visit H.E President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR at Aso Rock Villa State House, Abuja.

Kogi State Traditional Rulers were in Abuja, Nigeria's headquarters for the courtesy of H.E President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR at the State House, Aso Rock Villa, Thursday, June 20, 2019.

The Royal Fathers congratulated the President on his win at the elections and praised Governor Yahaya Bello for securing the state's peace, safety and unity, as well as his attempts to improve infrastructure.

The Governor, H.E. Yahaya Bello, on his part, said he was just a visit facilitator as Attah Igala was the chief of the mission. He informed the president he liked the Royal Fathers ' assistance and collaboration.

The President thanked the delegation for their visit and pledged to examine their requirements.

He said, Kogi is a small Nigeria, and his administration will do all it can to partner with the government of the state to continue the development of the state. He praised the governor for ensuring appropriate state safety and that he is well acquainted with the state's development projects.

He encouraged the Traditional Rulers to continue working with the Governor to bring the state to higher heights.

Earlier, the delegation leader, Atteh Igala informed the president that the Royal Fathers also supported the governor in Office for a second term bid.

These are the Rulers ' highlights request for their state from the H.E President Muhammadu Buhari.

1. They thanked the President for approving Federal Roads in Kogi State's N11 billion Naira                     infrastructure fund. 

2. A call to the President to resuscitate the Ajaokuta Steel Project.

3. Rapid release of the authorized Bailout Balance to help clear wage arrears. 

4. That the president should assist promote the rehabilitation of the state's main highways. 

5. That the president should offer Kogi a senior ministerial slot that provided 93 percent to APC in           the last general election. 

6.They created a unique request that Kogi State give priority to unique fund assistance for social and     agricultural programs such as the latest Omi Dam Power Project and others.

7.They also requested that Kogi be linked by rail to the FCT.
