The Chief Imam of Ebiraland, Musa Galadima, has died in the early hours of Friday, 19th April 2019

Ebiraland's Chief Imam, Musa Galadima, died at the age of 98 in the early hours of Friday, reports Nigeria's News Agency. Galadima, who had been a turbaned chief imam about 55 years ago, died in a private hospital in Abuja.

According to Islamic rites he would be buried at Okene on Friday. Wives, children and many grandchildren survive him. In a statement in Lokoja, Governor Yahaya Bello described Galadima's death as painful. "He was a humble, gentle, serious Islamic teacher whose tutelage extended beyond Nigeria.

"The late chief imam was God-fearing, honest, disciplined, and obedient to constituted authority, especially the traditional institution," said the governor in the statement by his chief press secretary, Mr. Mohammed Onogwu.

The governor urged other clerics of Islam to emulate the life of the deceased

Bello then condoled Ebiraland's Ohinoyi, Ado Ibrahim; wives of the deceased, children, relatives, friends, adherents, and the entire Muslim community about the late chief imam's death.

He prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased's deficiencies and to make Aljannat Firdaus his final place of rest.

I, the Kogi News Point publisher, pray on behalf of my Islamiyya, Late Alh. Abdulsalam Babamba Scholar Ahogede Okene (LAABSAO), may you rest in perfect  peace, may Allah Arahaman grant you Aljannatu Firdaus and forgive your shortcomings. (Ameen)
