Over 700 Groups to Drum Support for Atiku in Kogi
Over 700 civil society groups have set up a coalition ahead of former
vice president Atiku Abubakar’s visit to Kogi state on Monday.
The coalition chaired by Hon. Audu Ibrahim, the vice president of
support groups for Atiku in the North Central, assured the party of
victory over the ruling APC in Kogi state.
He enjoined various groups and individuals who are part of the
coalition to endeavour to work as an indivisible team as the opponents
will do all sthey can to distract them.
Speaking at the coalition meeting at the Lokongoma Phase II sport
centre in Lokoja on Sunday, some women leaders and coordinators of
various groups expressed pain and bitterness as a result of actions and
inactions of the current administration.
They expressed their readiness to welcome and mobilize people to welcome Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to the state on Monday.
