Governor Yahaya Bello, 5 Other World Bank Agro Fund receives $ 200 m

The $200 million World Bank Agro intervention project, Concise News reports, will benefit Governor Yahaya Bello's Kogi State, as well as five others.

This online news medium, apart from Kogi State, understands that the states of Lagos, Kano, Cross River, Kaduna and Enugu have been allocated to the project.

The project aims to improve agro-processing, productivity and livelihood and is in line with the Food Security, Local Production, Jobs Creation and Economic Diversification Agricultural Promotion Policy.

This is because the project is aimed at improving small and medium-sized farmers' agricultural productivity.

This will be done by supporting the productivity of farmers and their market connection.
The intervention will facilitate the processing of agricultural production and Cashew.

The intervention project in Kogi State targets 10,000 direct recipients and 50,000 indirect recipients.

Also, 35% of the beneficiaries will be women as well as 5-10% of the disabled people.
